legal-booksHere is the first part of a new series, online success tips. Today I am going the first of the five principles of success. Number one is the law of value. This series as well as the articles and videos coming are to help build leadership characteristics. It is really about leadership and development.

The law of value says your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.

The law of value is about giving value. Whenever you are speaking with someone about entering your business or purchasing your products you should always be giving them more value than you are getting back. That is an act of service and the mindset of helping people.

Now in the begining, I didn’t feel I had much value to share. Minimal business experience and the rest was as a skilled tradesmen so what did I have to offer?

Then not much, I was skeptical and not very open to a lot of this. Then I became a student of personal development, a home business entrepreneur and began to grow my inner value, really still lacking leadership characteristics at that point.

Plug into this endless sea of knowledge. Home study courses, books, audios, DVD’s videos, leadership and development training, mind set strategies and learn grow your value so you have something to share with others. This is something that you should be doing every day.

A mentor of mine once told me, if you have not read a book or listened to some leadership or personal growth information today, you have no right to speak as you have not learned anything new to contribute.

Remember this in coming from a place of service, you are not the focus the person you’re speaking to is. So to help get you in that mind set of how to focus on their needs not yours, ask yourself what I can do to help them improve their life today.

Focus on their needs and problems not the end result you are looking for.
